Chuck January, 2019 I started the project and felt my ideas were not what I was hoping to achieve. Julians came in & give me ideas. Well the house got totally transformed. Moved walls added windows. opened up the kitchen. Julie's ideas made the house spectacular. The openness/ the bringing of colors together. The floor plan & bookshelves the kitchen or exactly what I wanted. Then they came & placed all the furniture & vases etc. The place is perfect. I would recommend Julians to anyone thinking of doing a new house/remodel/or just refurnishing an existing house.

Throughout the process Julian's communication was fabulous, offered many options within budget and shared in the same joy and excitement as we did with the furnishings and decisions we were making to decorate our home. Without any hesitation I would highly recommend Julians and the entire team they have. It is hard to WOW me and that is exactly what they were able to do. The reveal of my home brought tears to my eyes. Regardless budget, size or project, etc. talk to them - they do it all!!! Info on our project: - New Construction Build - Julians offered these services; selected all paint colors/scheme, furnished master bedroom as well as the entire first floor, lighting, wallpaper, stair runner, blinds, curtains and hardware, decor, and consultation on building decisions (tile, crown molding, door hardware, etc.) If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!

Our family room has been a challenge the 20 years we have lived in our house. Never enough seating, difficult to see the TV and uncomfortable when entertaining. Julian’s came in and reconfigured the space adding a beautiful, comfortable sectional, something we never thought could work in this room with many windows and awkward corners. The color scheme and fun fabrics they chose turned a once dreary room into our favorite room in the house!

Julie and her team were wonderful to work with. Julie has so much talent and is quite fun to work with. She has the ability to walk into a room and completely update the look and style based on your personal style. Julie and her team assisted us transform our "1990's" front hallway and 4 other rooms. She was able to update all our rooms and still use our pictures and paintings throughout. Her assistant Kim kept us up to speed on all the details and timing of projects and was lovely to work with. We love the results and feel right at home. We are looking forward to future projects with Julians Interiors!

I have hired Julians for projects as small as picking paint colors to designing and decorating an entire home. From the smallest projects to complete renovations, I have never worked with more skilled, versatile, and accommodating professionals. We just finished a big kitchen project (knocking down walls, re-configuring our layout, moving our front door, etc etc) and we would never have gotten through it without Julie. She is a star! I would highly recommend using Julie and her team of professionals for any size home project you are working on. Julie has the ability to walk into your home, immediately survey each room and make suggestions on placement of pieces that you currently have, changing the entire look. I was referred to Julian's Interiors by a friend when I mentioned I was looking to update the curtains in my family room, dining room and living room as well as reupholster some dining room chairs. Julie was wonderful to work with and achieved the look that I was hoping for by listening to my thoughts and ideas. She came up with beautiful fabrics that complimented each room. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome and look forward to working with her in the future.

I had the pleasure of working with Julian's Interiors for over a period of a year during the time that my New York City apartment was being renovated. We were keeping some of our furniture--a living room couch, a couple of Oriental rugs, some bedroom furniture--but we wanted to start from scratch in most of the rooms. The process was wonderful--organized, thorough, with great attention to detail. Julie and Kim genuinely wanted to know what we liked--the colors we had in mind, and the tone and comfort of the furnishings. We sent them photos of the furniture we owned that we wanted to keep, and they were interested to see pictures from magazines that we liked. Then, the serious business began. We selected fabrics, and Julian's started suggesting couches/chairs/tables. There was a terrific back and forth communication--even though Julian's Interiors is located in Madison, CT and we were living in the Boston area. We were as much a part of the process as we wanted, and they were totally responsive. The finished product is terrific--beautiful fabrics and bright colors, and comfortable, highly usable furniture. We couldn't be happier!

My experience with Julian's Interiors can only be described as absolutely fabulous! We decorated my entire house and the results are incredible. For over a year, Julians Interiors in Madison, Connecticut, specifically, Julie and Marian, have helped us select and improve the interior furnishings of our home, from new carpet on the stairs, to beautiful window shades to reupholstery of old furniture and selection of new pieces. During this time, I've admired their good taste, talent for working within a budget, and timely completion of work. They even helped me recover two chairs and an ottoman and arranged shipment to my daughter in Massachusetts. Julie and Marian are a true pleasure to work with. Julie and her staff did a wonderful job of helping us select the new furniture and fabrics for recovering the old furniture we decided to keep in our family room. They not only suggested new items for the new look, they also used many pieces from other rooms to fill this large space. The thing I love most about Julie is she artfully rearranges your knickknacks so it seems as though they were purchased just for that spot. By the time she was done strategically placing two of my favorite quilts, it looked like a page from a magazine! Haven't changed a thing.

In just a few months Julie and her team transformed our house from a jumble of styles and mismatched furniture into a sophisticated but personalized home. From paint to furniture, window treatments to floor covering, they did it all. We were able to keep many original pieces which through creative reupholstery and placement now fit right in. They even took the time to go through our extensive collection of my father's original art work and surprised us by placing it all through the house. Every day we wake up and come home to a home that looks and feels perfect and reflects our personalities and background in a way we could NEVER have done on our own.

I have used Julian's interiors for several projects (big and small) around my home over the past 2 years, including makeovers/renovations of the master bedroom, guest bedroom, powder room, and set-up of outdoor dining and sitting area. I cannot say enough about the quality of the work they do. Julie is an artist with meticulous attention to detail and created for us incredibly original and inviting rooms that went beyond our expectations. She is also extremely practical in her approach which made it easy to stay within our budget. The entire team at Julian's is very professional and accommodating. Highly recommended all around.

Major home construction can be an overwhelming undertaking but working with Julie and the design team was an overall very enjoyable, fun and creative process. I have a strong opinion on what I like and don’t like and they all were very professional, patient and truly listened. From light fixtures to furnishings and paint color Julie was able to blend comfort and style. It's very satisfying to walk into our new home and feel like the space reflects my personality and not some design catalog. Many of our visitors immediately comment on the beauty and calm of our interior furnishings and ask how it all came together. I highly recommend Julian’s and would hire them again in the future.

I highly recommend Julians Interiors for ANY design/decoration project. You will never be disappointed and I guarantee you will be thrilled with the results. The entire Julians team is professional, highly knowledgable and very creative. They have always met my deadlines and budgets and work well with all subcontractors. In fact I would say you should hire Julians before you are ready to decorate. On multiple projects of mine, Julians has worked with the main contractor/architect to make changes to plans and projects that made significant improvements to the overall design and function of the spaces. On one specific project in a guest house, I wanted to move a wall to make the room bigger. I was told that that wall couldn't be moved by the contractor. I brought in Julians to work with the contractor and Julie herself was able to explain to the contractor how to move the wall and solve the design problems this would create. The end result looked amazing. Julie is able to work with the most ornery contractor to make changes that improve the design and convince him that he made a good decision! She is magic! The money you spend hiring the professionals at Julians is worth every cent. There is so much creative energy that is spent on every design that you will be amazed how much attention you get. Julians is now decorating my third home. I would never use any other designer. My homes are completely different: New England center-hall colonial, 250 year-old farmhouse with separate buildings and a beach house on the water. The designs are completely different and all amazing. Projects Julians has done for me range from simple kitchen, bathroom and room updates, to complete kitchen rip out and redesign and gutting a 200 year-old cottage and rebuilding/redesigning it with only the original beams and fireplace standing. My only advice is TRUST Julie's design decisions. You will not be disappointed. If she says it will good great and is the right thing to do, it will look AMAZING and you will LOVE it.

Project — comprehensive interior design services for a home that was undergoing a major renovation. Julians Interiors provided design services for the layout of all rooms, as well as all interior furnishings and finishes. The project took almost a year during which time Julians Interiors worked with the architect and the contractor to get everything done under a tight deadline. 
Experience — excellent and very satisfied. Ms. Furey has a wonderful eye for color and space. She is able to translate one's vision into reality. She is also respectful of your budget, offering solid advice as to where to make compromises (and where not to). Our home has received many compliments from friends and neighbors! I would not hesitate to use Ms. Furey again.
